아마존의 토양은? 라테라이트만 존재해? 인간-환경과의 관계에 대한 생각 열대우림을 대표하는 토양은 라테라이트. 즉, 식물생장에 도움을 주는 염기는 용탈되고 Fe, Al이 집적되어 굳어버리면 표층이 딱딱해져 농사에는 극히 불리한 토양 그 때문에 열대우림지역은 Slash and burn (화전)을 할 수 밖에 없다는 이야기를 수업시간에 하곤 했는데 이런 이야기가 열대 우림의 농경(인간-환경과의 관계)을 설명하는 모든 것은 될 수 없는가 봅니다. 최근 인터넷에서 꿀통(자료의 보고)을 하나 찾아 자료 찾기에 전념을 하고 있어 블로그 관리도 못하고 있었습니다. 위의 책 말고도 기타 등등 세계 각종 지리책이 주르르~~~ ㅎㅎ 밥을 안먹어도 배가 부른 듯한 착각이 그 중, 위의 책에서 발견한 내용입니다.
