여름이 다가 오면 흔히 '바캉스 시즌'이 다가왔다고 말한다.
바캉스란 영어로 말하면 Vacance,
텅 비었다는 형용사 Vacant의 명사형이다.
일반적으로 go to vacation이라고 말한다.
무엇이 텅 비게 되었다는 뜻일까?
정답은 '사람'이다.
프랑스 사람들은 휴가철이 오면
대서양, 지중해 쪽으로 쑤욱~~~ 빠져나가서
도심은 텅 비어버리게 된다.
이것이 '바캉스'이다.
